National Monuments

National Parks are usually larger and have more attractions.  National Monuments typically have one or two things that set them apart.  Both are managed by the National Park Service, (NPS).  The other main difference between the two is that Congress designates National Parks and the President designates National Monuments.  The NPS manages many different types of sites, and we visit many of them on our travels.  Maybe the distinction isn't great enough to have four page tabs for this (Yellowstone/Teton, National Parks, National Monuments, NPS Sites).  I think it will be easier to navigate the blog though if I make those distinctions.  It's my blog, I can do whatever I want.
